Children's Cancer Coalition

Thank you for your support! Children’s Cancer Coalition, also known as the American Alliance for Disabled Children PAC, is a bipartisan independent expenditure-only group (not a charity) established under Section 527 of the IRS tax code. We believe it’s our duty to help elect public officials who support children with cancer, and to educate Members of Congress as well as the public about issues related to children with cancer.

American Alliance for Disabled Children PAC

About

Each year in the U.S., there are an estimated 15,780 children between the ages of birth and 19 who are diagnosed with cancer. Approximately 1 in 285 children in the U.S. will be diagnosed with cancer before their 20th birthday. Globally, there are more than 300,000 children diagnosed with cancer each year. Every 3 minutes, somewhere in the world, a family hears the devastating words that their child has been diagnosed with cancer.

Political Advocacy by Parents of Children with Cancer
To say that parents of children with cancer have learned to multitask is an understatement. Providing for the many personal and care needs of your child on a daily basis can be overwhelming, but advocating for your child is a true act of love that makes the effort well worth it. Caring for your child with special needs often involves more than the daily activities of providing food and shelter. Sometimes you must aggressively advocate with legislators and others in positions of authority to do the right thing for your child and others, an activity that may take you out of your comfort zone. If you are able to be an advocate, your advocacy could make a real difference statewide or nationally for your loved one and others.

Special Needs Tax Credit Act
To amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to provide a credit to individuals for legal expenses paid with respect to establishing guardianship of a family member with disabilities or cancer.

With your continued help, we can see the election of leaders who will see to it that no child with cancer is ever treated unfairly.

Thank you again for your support. A large portion of the proceeds from this campaign are used to defray the costs of fundraising. Your support is very important to us. With the support of you and thousands of other like-minded concerned citizens, the American Alliance for Disabled Children PAC hopes to see elected public officials who will continue the fight for programs and legislation to support people in need!
